The National Account Manager is responsible for directly generating revenue by identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities with large-scale commercial, multifamily, and institutional clients. This role focuses solely on sales execution and account management, with a strong emphasis on prospecting, relationship development, and delivering tailored solutions that align with the Company’s service offerings. The National Account Manager will act as a key representative of the Company in the field, managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract execution.

The Company is a leading commercial roofing contractor that was founded in the early 2000s. They have grown from a regional firm into a nationwide services provider known for their supportive culture, team environment, and high integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Sales Execution

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with national and regional property owners, managers, and investors.

  • Lead the full sales cycle including prospecting, needs assessment, proposal development, and deal closing.

  • Develop customized presentations and proposals tailored to client needs, emphasizing the Company’s value proposition, service capabilities, and competitive advantages.

  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets, quotas, and revenue goals.

Customer Engagement & Account Management

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within target accounts.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, providing responsive communication and high-quality service throughout the sales process.

  • Conduct follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction, promote long-term partnerships, and drive repeat business and referrals.

  • Address customer objections and concerns in a professional and solution-oriented manner.

Market Development & Territory Growth

  • Actively prospect within assigned territories and verticals to expand the Company’s market presence.

  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to generate new leads and build brand awareness.

  • Identify and evaluate new market trends, property ownership changes, and strategic growth opportunities.

Reporting & Sales Administration

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client communications, contracts, and pipeline progress.

  • Provide regular updates on sales performance, market feedback, and deal status to the National Sales Manager.

  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts and updates on deal progression, challenges, and opportunities.

Technical Knowledge & Industry Awareness

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the Company’s services, pricing structures, warranty offerings, and operational capabilities.

  • Provide supporting documentation, specifications, or scope outlines as needed to assist clients in understanding proposed solutions.

  • Stay informed on relevant building codes, roofing systems, and industry standards to support confident and informed sales presentations.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in commercial roofing, construction, or property services.

  • Proven ability to close deals and manage large accounts across multiple regions or verticals.

  • Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Highly organized with strong pipeline and territory management skills.

  • Proficient in CRM tools and sales reporting systems.

  • Willingness to travel nationally as required.
