Project Manager Civil Engineering
Manage significant projects at a well- established civil engineering firm in Central Texas.
A well-established civil engineering firm serving public agencies throughout Central Texas seeks Project Manager to join their team.
The PM is responsible for managing ongoing projects, mentoring team members, optimizing utilization of staff, communicating with clients, contract negotiation, collecting payment, and ensuring profitability of the project.
Responsibilities:
Manage multiple projects, ensuring the quality of work and profitability of projects.
Create schedules, allocate budget, and efficiently assign tasks to the various contractors and subcontractors.
Oversee the work from beginning to end, cooperating with architects, suppliers, and other subcontractors, conducting project reports, managing supplies, and ensuring that everything goes according to plan.
Manage the risks to prevent budget overruns or quality damage.
Provide day-to-day guidance to staff and project team.
Serve in a client-facing role, maintaining positive relationships with clients and providing regular communication on progress and in compliance with contract terms.
Serve as the Project Engineer (PE) on projects, as needed.
Lead proposal development, contract negotiations, and drafting of agreements.
Monitor engineering contracts, subcontracts, contract modifications, and other agreements
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
Minimum of 10 years of project management experience.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas.
Demonstrated project management experience, from conception to completion.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proven success completing projects on schedule and within budget.
Experience in public infrastructure design is strongly preferred.
The ideal candidate will apply technical expertise and project management best practices to ensure projects come in on time and within budget.
